Here are two testimonies from my ministry that stuck out to me this past month in Guatemala!
1. The Lord gave me an interpretation of tongues (1 Corinthians 12:10-11) and allowed me to speak in Spanish perfectly to the teenagers at devotional time.
At sports day for ministry, there is devotional time where I get to participate and occasionally share testimonies with the teenagers. The challenge is that the devotional is solely in Spanish. I am able to communicate at a very basic level, but complex spiritual conversations are above me. During devotional one week, the boys were not engaged at all. The message was not landing with them or engaging them. Also, I was not able to understand the message.
I prayed and asked God to give me understanding and MIRACULOUSLY and INSTANTANEOUSLY I understood the spanish. My mentor leading the group looks at me and invites me in to respond and asks if I understood (right when the Lord gave me understanding). I told my mentor I know exactly what to say:
I said “I find time for God by seeking Him every morning first thing. I pray and say thank you for loving me Jesus, thank you for walking with me Jesus, and thank you for speaking to me. After that, I read my bible and then start my day!”
The kids were all staring at me with their eyes peeled (after not being engaged all lesson) and listened to me share my relationship with Jesus in perfect Spanish. My mentor afterwards said wow your Spanish was so good and it related perfectly to the lesson of how do we put God first in everything when we are always so busy. I said thank you, it was the Holy Spirit who showed up! After that, all the high schoolers became more comfortable with me and talk with me. Now we all know each other by name!
2. The Lord gave me the ability to speak in tongues (1 Corinthians 12:10-11) at Worship Room intercession one night (bilingual gathering)
I was asked to intercede over the worship night with its focus being Psalm 24:3-4 “Who may ascend the mountain of the Lord? Who may stand in his holy place? The one who has clean hands and a pure heart, who does not trust in an idol or swear by a false god.” I prayed and prepared with some notes in english and spanish When my time came to pray; I read in both English and Spanish and began praying in english.
Then the Holy Spirit came over me in Spanish.
I began praying perfect spanish, better than I was ever able to before! Saying “Who is clean? Who is pure? Who can stand in His Holy place? It is you Jesus, you are clean, you are pure. Because of your perfect blood you have cleansed us. Now, we are pure because you are pure, we are clean because you are clean. Thank you for your love Jesus.”
I could feel the stillness and authority of the Holy Spirit moving as I prayed in the Spanish utterance He gave me. While interceding I began to hear people cry. That night someone got saved soon after and was led to the Lord via altar call.
Afterwards so many people came with grateful hearts and were honoring the Lord through me and saying: thanks for praying in Spanish, it was perfect Spanish, I was touched by your prayer. Thank you Jesus, it was the Holy Spirit moving through me!
This does not include all the amazing ways God is moving here in ministry and people’s lives, these are just two specific ways I’ve seen Him move through me!
The Lord is always moving here. He is moving in my heart, in my team, and in the ministry here in such amazing ways. Here are some challenges i’ve faced so far:
1. Majority of my interactions outside of ministry are Spanish, it is hard being a witness for Jesus to preach His gospel and pray for people when I’m using my understanding of spanish. The language barrier is a challenge for sure.
-pray that God would give me boldness and understanding while witnessing-
2. The last 5 people I’ve prayed for did not get healed. Blind eyes did not open, withered arms did not get made straight, limp legs did not receive strength and so on (Mark 16:17-19). However, I am not discouraged. I know Jesus wills to heal people when His gospel is proclaimed and I am believing for Him to confirm His message with signs and wonders!
-pray that I remain in a heart posture of faith and that the Lord would show up with power-
Thank you for reading! Thank you for supporting me! Please continue to pray!

Praise the Lord, Noah! Back here in North Augusta SC there are many people praying for you, including my resistance exercise class. I praise the Lord for blessing you with such miraculous experiences. This is changing your life forever! At first when you went away there was a helpless feeling because you were so far away, but isn’t that just when God wants us to come close to his Son? Actually, you’re changing our lives forever.
What an awesome testimony of what God is doing through you because of your humility and seeking of the Lord. I’m sure you stand in awe of the power of God working through you every time you think of those events!
I’m so glad you are not disheartened after praying for healing of people and they don’t manifest the healing you prayed for in that moment. God is in charge of the the HOW and WHEN departments in life. Perhaps inner healing occurred that was unseen, or a seed planted that will grow and mature. It will be so fun to see the results of your efforts once we fully enter eterinty!
