Praise the Lord! Amen!

The Lord is good, The Lord is faithful. He is my God and my Shepherd. My time in Africa is coming to a close with a debrief in Jeffreys Bay and I want to testify to the Lord and my month in Lesotho!

I am so thankful for my host Pieter and his family. They obey God and I am blown away at their love, faithfulness, and joy in Christ. One blog could never summarize the good things I have to say and share about them and my time with them!

The Lord sent me and Tanner to Lesotho, a small country inside Africa to do ministry. Here we grew in so much boldness and obedience, we preached the gospel as disciples of Jesus would in the book of acts. Here is a glimpse of daily/week life and some special testimonies.

Day/week in the life

Weekdays: Morning time house visits in the villages, afternoon manual labor building horse stable, evening guitar-tea with Jaime and Peiter.

Weekends: Rest and church preaching

Various ministries: 1 week in Hajobo the 50 villages, house discipleship group that we taught, village summoning down there valley.

Highlights

  1. 2 Timothy 4:2 Preach the word; be prepared in season and out of season; correct, rebuke and encourage—with great patience and careful instruction. —– Our main task was preaching the gospel and teaching all month. At village houses, at church, at house groups, and village gatherings.

   2.        Philemon 1:4-7 I always thank my God as I remember you in my prayers, because I hear about your love for all his holy people and your faith in the Lord Jesus. I pray that your partnership with us in the faith may be effective in deepening your understanding of every good thing we share for the sake of Christ. Your love has given me great joy and encouragement, because you, brother, have refreshed the hearts of the Lord’s people. —— We received great fellowship, love, discipleship,  and encouragement from our host Peiter, his son Jaime, and the pastors we worked with!

3.      1 Corinthians 3:7 So neither the one who plants nor the one who waters is anything, but only God, who makes things grow. —– We stayed obedient and faithful in our preaching and teaching of Jesus Christ and we saw 4 young women come to faith in Jesus after preaching to a village gathering! It is God who gives growth and we are to be obedient and trust His work.

What I learned

I learned to be steadfast in God’s work (1 Corinthians 15:58), to be obedient and BOLD in preaching the message of Jesus. God has grown me so much in this because the Lord imparted this to me from walking with out host and pastors who we worked with. They were so bold, zealous, and obedient to God. Thank You Jesus!

What I experienced

I experienced so much joy through trials (James 1:2-4). This ministry was so tough at times, but I experienced the most joy and laughter and great memories so far from any ministry yet on the race!

Thank you so much for reading! I hope you were encouraged. My squad is about to go to south east Asia for the next 5 months. Praise Jesus!

Jeffreys bay debrief testimony: The very first day of re-uniting with the squad in South Africa we went out to do ATL and I was going to get a haircut. The first street my team walked down a woman approached us needing food. We happened to be standing in front of a hotdog and fries stand so we got some for her and sat down. She was sharing her life struggles and difficulties. I saw a tattoo on her hand and it reminded me of a memory, instantly the Holy Spirit spoke to me that she was dealing with rage and anger. He gave me a word of knowledge and led me to Colossians 1:13. I shared the word with her and she confessed to rage and anger plaguing her and some un-forgiveness. I preached to her and the Holy Spirit was ministering to her heart. She wanted to repent from anger, rage, un-forgiveness, and surrender her heart and life to Jesus. My team prayed for her and led her to Jesus. Afterwards she was so light, encouraged, and not seeming bound by guilt and shame. She was so thankful and praising God and we took her to get groceries. The Lord is so good! I left the mountains, showed up the the beach, and immediately the Lord was on the move! So amazing and so thankful!
